About Mrs. Miller

Welcome to the DPJH Clinic page. My name is Meagan Miller. I am a former Fawn and Deer! I graduated with my Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Stephen F. Austin State University in May of 2003 and passed the State Boards to become an RN that June. I sat for an extra board to become certified in pediatric nursing in 2013. I can't believe I've been a nurse for over 20 years! I spent 2 years at Memorial Hermann Children's Hospital in the stepdown ICU, then did travel nursing for 1 year, and spent the bulk of my career on an inpatient pediatric surgical unit at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego, CA. Before moving back to Texas, I spent my last year and a half in San Diego as the RN Care Coordinator for Rady Children's Pediatric Surgery clinic. I managed the care of 7 general surgeon's patients. I performed post-op office visits, case management and telephone triage. This is my fourth year as the school nurse at DPJH. I'm the proud wife of a U.S. Marine Veteran and proud mom of a beautiful teenage daughter & a very energetic and handsome baby boy. Our family loves animals. We have 2 dogs and 1 cat. I love the Houston Astros and watching volleyball.
