About Me
I grew up in Deer Park, Texas and attended schools in DPISD. I started out at Deer Park Elementary, attended Deer Park Jr. High, and finally went to Deer Park High School. I graduated from DPHS in 2010. After graduating, I attended San Jacinto Community College for engineering and decided to change my major and enroll at UHCL. I graduated from UHCL with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with EC-6 certification in 2016. Recently, I graduated from Lamar University with a Master of Education in Administration in May 2022. This year I am working on obtaining a principal certification. I am coaching football and plan to build my coaching capacity to prepare our student athletes for success at the high school level.
For the length of my professional career, I have taught in DPISD. I started out as a first-grade teacher at Parkwood Elementary. After two years, I taught the same group of students in second grade. I taught second grade for three years before accepting an ELA position at DPJH. This will be my sixth year of teaching.
My current certifications include:
- EC-6 Generalist
- 4-8 Core Subjects
- ESL Supplemental EC-12
- PPR EC-12
I am 30 years old and live in Deer Park. My current hobbies include recording and producing music. I sing, play acoustic and electric guitar, ukulele, bass guitar, and banjo. I enjoy traveling and other outdoor activities. I currently own and operate an online based company called FALZO Filter Supply. We offer a subscription service for home air filter delivery. I helped my brother launch his non-profit Fair Dinkum Coffee before attending graduate school. Once enrolled in graduate school, I decided to step down from the board of the non-profit to focus on obtaining my M.Ed. in Administration. I have a true passion for writing, and I am working to publish a children's book this year.
